Think Pink Workshops
The Think Pink workshops are specifically designed self-esteem and bravado boostin’ sessions that can be delivered in schools, youth clubs and youth organisations to empower girl-kind to be confident and powerful girls o’ awesomeness.
The workshops are a direct response to the serious issue of low self-esteem effecting today’s millions of girls between the ages of 11 and 18.
Self-esteem is, simply, how good we feel about who we are.
However, the impact of self-esteem, or the lack of it, affects virtually everything we think, say, and do. It can affect how we see the world and our place in it, how others see and treat us, the choices we make about what we’ll do with our lives, and, most importantly, our ability to take action. Lisa Clark – Mizz magazine’s agony aunt, PSHE practitioner, youth worker, teen life coach, and author of the Lola Love go-for-it girl series – will help participants to address these issues by building their self-esteem, introducing the benefits of positive thinking and empowering girls to fulfil their individual potential in a hip, fun and accessible way.
Lisa provides girls with a full-to-the-brim vanity case of tools and life skills that will banish negative thoughts and bad beliefs to create a generation of feisty, fun, fearless and fabulous Pink Ladies who are: aware of their potential, know and celebrate the many qualities that make them unique, value and respect themselves, and above all, are able to choose and create the life they want.
ThinkPink – the workshops are devised to:
- Address the National Curriculum framework in Personal, Social and Health Education
- Make girls aware of the wide range of amazing options open to them
- Help girls understand and deal with feelings about their physical appearance and learn how “ideal” images of beauty are created
- Provide methods to ensure young women are confident in making own life choices
- Help girls recognise their strengths and best attributes, handling peer pressure
- Raise awareness of healthy eating habits, hygiene and general wellness
- Help identifying core values and personal interests.
There are four specifically designed workshops. Each are fun, informative and very interactive, and are based on the content of the four Lola Love go-for-it guides:
Think Pink – an overview workshop of the Think Pink concept. A great taster session that takes girls on a road trip of self-discovery, topics covered include: confidence, self-esteem, self-belief and the benefits of positive thinking.
Beauty*Licious – helps girls to love themselves inside and out. Topics covered include: the impact of media images, how to stop comparing yourself to others, what being You-nique really means and how to eat yourself gorgeous.
It’s a Girl Thing – this answers all the questions that girls might have about the crazy thing they call puberty. Topics covered include: emotions, personal hygiene, periods and buying bras.
Viva La Diva – encourages girls to be a superstar everyday! Topics covered include: confidence, how to speak up and speak out, walk tall, how to like what you see in the mirror and be feisty, fun, fearless and fabulous on a daily basis.
Additional information about eating disorders, the power of positive thinking, career options, relationships, and stress is also available to girls, on an age-appropriate basis. If your requirements are not listed, I’m very flexible and I’m more than happy to discuss bespoke services specific to your current needs.
I can arrange small workshops for groups of 5 – 30 girls or larger seminars for groups of over 30 girls.
